Remembering Frank A. Pleasants
Mr. Pleasants served in the Beaverdam Ruritan Club for over 50 years, and Rouzie's Chapel for 75 years. He also served as a fire warden and was a charter member of the Bumpass Volunteer Fire Department. He was an honorary member of Lake Anna Rescue Inc. and the Virginia Order of Odd Fellows. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was also a member of Bauserman's Hunt Club and was often featured in sponsor ads for the Ruritan 4th-of-July Parade as "Fishing Consultant."
Frank Pleasants will always be remembered for his tireless commitment to the community and it is with great pride that we dedicated the flag poles and marker bearing his name. Three flags will wave over the Ruritan Park at the entrance for all to enjoy: the American flag, the Virginia State flag and the Ruritan National flag.
